Why People Love Drama

People love drama, whether it's in their lives, or just watching it. Drama is one of those aspects that has really merged well with our existence. People like drama just as they are drawn to car crashes, fights and grand twists.

People have been hearing fantastic stories since time began. The interesting thing is, they think life is supposed to be like the stories and go on to discover their dramatic moments.

We are story making machines. As soon as we see a few facts we make a story out of it. Everything we find important fits the form of a story. And that story stars our individual selves. News stories, historical stories, mythological stories, biographical stories.

Drama is so much more exciting than our bland lives are. It lets us imagine ourselves in different scenarios and important roles. We want to be a part of something, and drama let's us do just that, with little imagination required.

Another reason is because we are emotional beings, and everything we do is backed up by some kind of feeling. Emotion is the fuel to our engines. And drama completes the yearn for emotions.

This story has been written thousands of times. People have heard it in their childhood, seen the movies and even read about them. Because of this, they think that their lives are supposed to be like this.
But the problem in that is, our lives are often like this

They are not very exciting, nor something worth remembering. They drifts along with normal happenings. Some ups, some downs, but nothing to go down in history about. Nothing so fantastic or terrible that it'll be told for a thousand years.

If you haven't seen this movie,
you haven't seen reality tv
That's why we act like everything that happens to us is such a big deal. We are the leads in our own drama.

We're trying to make our life into a fairy tale. A fairy tale that ends as happily as ever.

I do think people get too caught up in the disappointment of not having the excitement of a drama But that doesn't mean you can't have one, or can't turn the everyday into something enjoyable. But you have to do it yourself, you can't wait to be rescued.

" An idle mind is of the devil's workshop" (King James Bible). In other words, when you are bored, depressed, broke, and lonely, you find drama self-fulfilling and pleasurable. Drama is an addictive drug.
